SI-1.   Autoharp.  Zimmerman No. 73, made by the Oscar Schmidt Co., Jersey City, NJ. 1940s model, with a plain front. Twelve chord model (Gm, B=, A7, C7, Dm, F, E7, G7, Am, C, D7, G), black lacquer finish with a gold stripe around the top edge, 37 strings, wooden chord bar hold and chord bars. Some minor finish checking and a couple worn spots along the edges, but this instrument is in remarkably nice shape, with no cracks, open seems, or other damage. Even the chord bar felts seem to be in good shape, and it has a good full sound even with the old strings. Includes a period instruction book and the original chipboard case. Sold as is. Very good. $150.00

SI-2.   Hopf Violin.  Early 20th century fiddle marked "Hopf" on the back by the neck button, and with the same stamp inside as seen through the bass f hole (instead of a label). Plays and sounds very good, looks okay - There is one repaired top crack that doesn't look as good as I wish it did, metal friction tuners (which work better and are not as heavy as I thought they would be) replace the wooden pegs, and there is some wear overall on the instrument. The body might also have a newer clear varnish over the original, but even this was done before I bought it 10 years ago. It is a nice playing instrument that has a sort of dark but sweet tone; not a powerhouse, but a good sounding fiddle for small groups or solo playing. Includes a student case and wood bow.  $195.00

SI-3.  Fiddle with a Carved Lyre on the Back.  Unlabeled violin, early 20th century. The back has a carved outline of a lyre in the center of the back with two pearl dots. No maker's or repairer's name of marks, except for a crudely carved "H" on the lower bout near the bottom edge. Even brown varnish on the front, and somewhat uneven on the back, suggesting that the finish may have been touched up at some time. Ebony fittings.  Very good condition, with a good strong and even tone. New good quality rectangular case and a satin bag included. An attractive and distinctive instrument.  $500.00

SI-4.  Violin Case.  New 4/4 size violin case. Nylon outer covering with outside pocket, closes with two zippers and a latch, maroon velvet interior. Suspension fit, velcro neck restraint, generous accessory pocket. Satin lined instrument blanket. Four bow holders and string tube in the lid. An excellent case; I bought several and ended up with one more than needed. $85.00
