Two page article in an issue removed from a bound volume, with two Adirondack views made by Vance in 1871: A Flume Falls on the Opalescence@ and A Avalanche Lake.@ Another page has an illustration of Calamity Pond Brook, but since it does not accompany the Adirondack article we cannot be certain it is a scene from that area.
