Delivered January 12, 1829, before the Massachusetts Charitable Mechanic Association. Promoting the importance of the new medium of transportation, published before the opening of any American railroads. Among the suggestions is that of a rail line between Boston and Albany. Inscribed from J. Binney to William Jenks, a New England clergyman and an early member of the American Antiquarian Society. Housed in a protective paper folder. A little foxing, but very good. $165.00
