Matthews, John (1808-1870). Known as the Soda Fountain King, he perfected a method to carbonate water in the mid-19th century. His home, Arch-Brook, was a noted NYC landmark. 2.75" x 4.25", with a tiny chip in the lower right corner. Very good.
